New Event

F2C Nationale Team Racing - Simple FAI T/R

The reason for introducing another class of racing to Control-Line is to try to encourage entries into the International FAI Team Race class.

These rules for the F2C Nationale have been copied from our fellow European modellers who have also taken on our British Goodyear class to fly in their competitions. There are many International competitions throughout the year and many clubs who organise these events find there is time available to organise another racing event, so wish to promote the F2C Nationale class as an introduction to the full FAI Team Racing class.

The rules were formed to encourage new teams by using a simple model design and, being less expensive than the full FAI International class, may promote younger modellers to participate in this racing class. The rules are given in basic format below: A full set of F2C Nationale rules may be obtained from the BMFA office, enclosing an SAE.

  1. 2.5 cc Diesel engine (steel liner)
  2. 15 cc tank
  3. Unrestricted refuelling system
  4. Profile fuselage
  5. 12 square DM wing/wing & tail
  6. 1 or 2 wheels
  7. 15.92 m lines x 0.3 mm

This first year, modified Goodyear models (Open or British) with 15cc tanks may be used.

Dave Rudd
Contest Director, Team Racing.
