George Aldrich passed away at 5:20 cst on July 4, 2001. Julie Aldrich told me that there would be a memorial service held in San Antonio and one at the NATS in Muncie.
We really lost a Great One.
This is a sad ending to this wonderful day of celebration. We all knew that George was seriously ill, but it still is tough to see the end. George was a good friend, a modeler's modeler, one of the few pillars around which our hobby has been built. He will be missed, but his legacy will never go away.
