Dear AMA,

In case you all weren't already aware of this, George Aldrich
(L-47) is critically ill with bone marrow cancer. I got a reply to an
e-mail last Tuesday that I had sent GMA a few days prior, asking how he
was. He told me his condition is declining, and he is terminally ill,
with perhaps 1 to 2 months left to him. I hope he beats the odds, and his
doctors are wrong, but I felt that the AMA should make the membership
aware that it is likely at this point theat we are about to lose one of
the Greats of the hobby.
