The following countries entered their teams for the Championships: Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA.

We also expect entries from Belarus, Hungary, Israel, Indonesia, Latvia, Uzbekistan. But Belarus will have to finalize its matter with FAI first.

The registration will be held on Sunday, 23 August from 9.00 till 22.00 in the press centre "Chayka". Registration is to be made by the Team Manager for the entire team including supporters. Those arriving earlier than 23 August must make preliminary registration. Any fee differences can be paid cash upon registration.

Note: If the fee was paid by bank transfer but the participant did not arrive, the refund will not be made in cash, but only by return bank transfer minus bank charges.

Official practice is provided according to the schedule on 24, 25 August. Unofficial practice (only after registration) is available from 15 August till 23 August. Detailed map of official and unofficial practice sites and the timetable will be supplied upon arrival.

Transportation to and from the airport or railway station will be provided by the organisers. Buses, minibuses or cars will be provided according to date and flight or train details provided on your entry form. Allowances will be made for model boxes.

Those who have booked rental cars and will be met in the airport by the a rental car agent/driver, are asked to inform us in advance.

The cost of transportation:

• at airport Kyiv-Borispol - 10$ per person
• at airport Zhuliany - 4$ per person
• at railway station - 4$ per person

Local transportation will be provided by the organiser twice a day between hotels listed in Bulletin 1 & 2 and the airfield. Timetable corresponds to the schedule of events, i.e. after breakfast and before supper. No transportation will be provided by the organiser before 23 August. Rental cars can be used. Rental cars and minibuses may be ordered from the AVIS agency (without driver, by credit card), other local agency (only with driver, by cash), in hotel "Prolisok". Private minibuses (cheaper) can be booked through the organiser also. We recommend contacting the AVIS agency through e-mail: avis@vip-rent.ru.kiev.ua. Provide your passport number, driver license and method of payment (number of credit card) to speed up car receipt in Kyiv.

The preliminary detailed contest schedule is found below. 24 hour times are used. Meal times are adapted to the contest schedule.

As promised before, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine simplified the entry clearance for countries that have sent the entries to WCh, and informed the Ukrainian Embassies in those countries. For visa legalization two papers will be required:

- our invitation (page 1 of Bulletin 1);

• the list of your delegation from your NAC .

The invitation from the Organizer with the list of your country’s team is not required.

For the border and customs procedures please find enclosed the letter (in Ukrainian) addressed to the border and customs office, certifying that your team is participating in the WCh. Please carry it with you during the border, customs clearance for passing without queue.

The protest fee is set to 40 USD.

Each model should be accompanied by a model specification certificate and a sticker should appear on each model. Each model should carry a model identification code on each part of model.

The number of rooms in certain hotels (see Bulletin 1) is limited. If there are not enough rooms in a certain hotel, rooms in a similar hotel will be offered. Others hotels are placed more near to city centre, one (Hotel 7) in recreation zone of city, but difference in distance between hotels is not important because local transportation will be provided.

2. Rule change concerning F2C (see Bulletin 2) will be in effect from 1999. We apologise for the mistake.

3. Jury F2D recommends paying attention to RULE 4.4.5 specifying the silencer, particularly the circular outlet total area. The outlet is considered to be the rearmost part of the exhaust system! This is where the dimension is taken. Pilots are reminded to fit the appropriate exhaust system.

At present we have following types of fuel and its components, which will be available on the airfield from 15 August:

• Methanol
• Diethyl ether
• Castor oil, medicine
• Castor oil, first pressing
• Nitromethane
• Kerosene for lighting (used by Ukrainian & Russian T/R teams)
• DII
• Petrol for cleaning
• F2A Contest fuel
• F2D Contest fuel

F2A and F2D flyers will get their free ration upon showing their badge. Additional quantities as well as fuel ingredients will be sold.

Tickets to opera, ballet, theatre, art gallery will be offered to you at the registration.

The holders of Challenge Cups are requested to bring them and hand them over to the Organising Committee.

From 18 August the Organising Committee will be working on the airfield. We can be contacted by phone at the airfield, this number will be reported you later by e-mail. The fax- and e-mail-message will be delivered to the airfield once a day by messenger.

On 24 August the official WCh opening ceremony and the airshow to mark the Ukraine’s Independence day will be held on "Chayka" airfield. During the airshow, the aerodrome’s grass field and asphalt strip, planned by us as an additional practice area for F2B, F2C will be temporarily not available for about 2 hours. We apologise in advance for this inconvenience. The territory of aeromodelling sportcomplex will be guarded by police during the airshow, as well as on all other days.
