Hi all,

I got this note from the C/L World Champs originally sent to Rene Berger,
Switzerland, from Dave Fitzgerald of the USA F2B team.

It is followed by Rene's reply to Kathy Fitzgerald.

They indicate some trouble with the Ukrainian authorities that should be
brought to public attention.

Dear Kathy,
Just back from Airport.

Crew of the today flight has a message with them for the Station in Kiev.
All US-team member names are mentioned. I do not like to frighten you but
in the reservation only David and Big Art have confirmed return from
Kiev. Somehow the other reservations have been cancelld. Swissair station
will be informed by SR Zuerich and I gave also to our security office
(department OY Mr. Scherer) a copy of all US-members. So at least all
involved people are "in the picture"! Swissair is usually not bad to
settle problems like this. A other thing I did is to send the report from
David to the FAI headquarter. The copy of their response is below. See

Dear Mr. Berger,
 
Thank you very much for keeping us informed of the situation. As I am
leaving on holidays today for 2 weeks, I will leave a note for Mr.
Bishop, FAI Secretary general, so that he is kept informed.
Incidentally, he was in Kiev for the opening ceremony.
